United Way of Southwestern PA announces new Butler Region Director
Amy Franz joins United Way Team
Pittsburgh, Pa. (September 18, 2018) – United Way of Southwestern PA announced Amy Franz has joined its team as the new Butler Region Director. United Way of Southwestern PA merged with United Way of Butler County earlier this year. Franz will help manage all the work in the Butler region and work hand-in-hand with the rest of United Way’s team to increase local impact.
“I am excited to step into this role in Butler and work with United Way’s leadership and our community partners to help meet the needs of our local community,” Franz explained. “United Way has already seen success and impact as a result from this merger, and we’ll continue to explore new ways to work with our local agencies and reach Butler residents in different ways.”
With nearly 20+ years of experience in nonprofit management, Franz will work with the Butler local operating board, supervise staff, manage Butler’s workplace campaign, monitor impact and oversee advocacy efforts, while also serving as primary contact for regional efforts with United Way and other community partners.
“Amy’s experience and skills are impressive. She has a diverse background in nonprofit management and involvement,” said Bobbi Watt Geer, senior vice president of administration, United Way. “We are confident she will help us best serve Butler County and support our region-wide efforts.”
