Red Apple Awards 

Recognize A Special Teacher

...who exemplifies leadership and outstanding dedication to
students and the wider community.

 

AWARDS: The Red Apple Award will be given to one outstanding (K-12) teacher in each of Butler County's seven public school districts. In addition, awards will be given to one instructor/professor from each of the following: Butler County Vo-Tech, Butler County Community College and Slippery Rock University. The awards will be announced in May and presented at the United Way of Butler County's Annual Meeting and Campaign Celebration and Leadership Butler County Graduation on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 7:30 AM at Founders Hall, Butler County Community College. Awardees will be provided with two complimentary tickets for the event.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Any K-12 educator teaching in one of the seven Butler County School Districts (Butler, Karns City, Mars, Moniteau, Seneca Valley, Slippery Rock, South Butler), or any instructor/professor at the Butler County Vo-Tech, BC3 and SRU. Educators who were nominated in the past, but did not receive the award, may be nominated again.

 

CRITERIA:
·Nominated by students, parents of students, peers, administrators, or business and community members.
·Demonstrates dedication to students, going above and beyond the requirements of the school day.
·Demonstrates involvement in school activities.
·Is active in the community, exemplifying volunteerism and/or leadership.
·Demonstrates leadership among peers.
