Winter Relief Center for Families

Butler County Local Housing Options Team and New Beginnings Free Methodist Church have partnered to open a Winter Relief Center for Families with children under the age of 18.
The Center will operate from December 1st through March 31st on nights that are 25 degrees or colder. (Families should be referred to Catholic Charities, 724-287-4011.) The Center is run by volunteers and there is very little funding to support this very important program.
That is why your help is needed!
Below is a list of what is needed:
Volunteers to man the Center
Pack n Plays (will be used for beds for babies)
Snack Foods (ex. granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, etc.)
Bottled Water
Board Games
Travel-Size Soap and Shampoo
Towels
Washcloths
Pillows
Socks (Men's, Women's, and Children's)
Monetary donations will be used to purchase:
Disposable Pillow Cases
Cot Blankets
Bus Tokens
Other Necessary Items
Monetary donations will also be used to provide for alternative shelter for individuals on nights the Center is open, since it only serves families. Monetary donations can be sent to Catholic Charities, 120 New Castle Street, Butler, PA 16001. Please indicate that your donation is for the "Winter Center".
If you or your organization is interested in donating items for the Center, please contact Amanda Feltenberger, afeltenb@co.butler.pa.us / 724-284-5114, to coordinate drop off. Also, if you are interested in volunteering, or would like more information, please contact Amanda.
